New video from Théotime Langlois de Swarte, le Consort, and Vivaldi

This video features an excerpt from the first movement (Allegro) of Winter, the Violin Concerto in F minor, RV 297, from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.
It offers a glimpse into the latest album by rising violin talent Théotime Langlois de Swarte and the remarkable ensemble Le Consort.
Langlois de Swarte describes his connection to The Four Seasons as “a deep fascination, drawn in by the communicative energy of a score that is at once narrative, descriptive, and empirical.”

OVERVIEW
Théotime Langlois de Swarte is a violinist whose repertoire spans from the 17th century to contemporary works. A member of Le Consort since its founding, he has also collaborated with ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants and the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées, performing at major international venues.
Alongside his concert career, he has recorded several acclaimed albums, showcasing both well-known and rediscovered pieces. His ability to bring historical and modern works to life has established him as a distinctive voice in today’s violin scene.

Le Consort is a baroque chamber ensemble founded in Paris in 2015, dedicated to interpreting the trio sonata repertoire with enthusiasm, sincerity, and modernity. The core group consists of four young musicians: violinists Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Sophie de Bardonnèche, cellist Hanna Salzenstein, and harpsichordist Justin Taylor.
While primarily a quartet, Le Consort expands its formation for certain projects, collaborating with additional musicians to explore vocal works and concertos. This flexibility allows them to delve into a broader range of baroque music, bringing both well-known and rediscovered pieces to life with a dynamic and colorful approach.
