Moto Perpetuo was founded in 2025 as a digital publication dedicated to delivering timely and relevant news on the global classical scene. Our mission is to keep musicians, enthusiasts, and newcomers alike informed and inspired by connecting them to the artists, events, and innovations shaping this art form worldwide.
We view classical music as a living art form and we distance ourselves from perspectives that associate the genre solely with the past, reducing concert halls to mere museums dedicated to preservation. Of course, innovation and tradition are inseparable; everything new is always built upon what has come before.
Therefore, our coverage will place special emphasis on new compositions, innovations, and the emerging musicians making their mark in the field, without neglecting the rich history that has brought us to this point.
Classical music has always been a global domain, where musicians transcended borders and exchanged genres, techniques, and languages. Today, technology has accelerated this process like never before. Therefore, we aim for truly global coverage, ensuring that every significant and high-quality event occurring anywhere in the world finds a place in our pages.
We have chosen English as our primary means of communication because it is the dominant language in interactions among musicians and institutions worldwide, facilitating inclusivity and accessibility in our coverage.
We believe that you, the readers, will play a fundamental role in this project. We look forward to your contributions by sending us relevant news from your communities, as well as your respectful comments on our articles.

With Moto Perpetuo, I combine my two passions: journalism and classical music. My love for this art form extends beyond enthusiasm—I am also a chorister and an amateur pianist.
Before the launch of Moto Perpetuo, my career focused on international journalism in general-interest news. I spent several years in Atlanta, where I worked for CNN.
Moto Perpetuo is my way of delivering timely and engaging classical music news to readers who, like me, believe in the art form’s relevance and vibrancy today.

With Damián we completed countless journalistic projects together since we were both very young. Journalism was my first job and I am still in it.
My passion for language and forms led me to study for a year at Oxford University thanks to a scholarship from the Reuter Foundation and to currently be training in Writing Arts.
In Moto Perpetuo I dedicated myself, from moment zero, to its general appearance, both in the design and in all the details linked to the language, the titles and the punctuation marks: if something defines the work that we have always done with Damián, it is our obsession with things well done.
