Jasmin White is an emerging contralto from the United States, born in 1993. She holds an Artist Diploma in Opera Studies from The Juilliard School, a Master of Music in Voice from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California.
In 2023, White achieved significant milestones in her career by winning the Queen Sonja International Music Competition and securing second place at the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
The 2024/2025 season marks her debut as a member of the soloist ensemble at the Volksoper Wien, where she is set to perform in multiple opera productions.
Earlier in the season, White made a series of notable debuts, including her role as Disinganno in Handel’s Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno with Les Arts Florissants and the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. She also joined Il Pomo d’Oro for two productions: Alcina (Bradamante) and Jephtha (Hamor), performing at Madrid’s Teatro Real, Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Konzerthaus Dortmund, and Vienna’s Theater an der Wien.
White is recognized not only for her exceptional talent but also for her identity as a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and as a Cherokee-TERO-certified Indigenous fine artist, hailing from Grand Ronde, Oregon.
