Berlin Philharmonic: Kirill Petrenko cancels January concerts

The Berlin Philharmonic has announced that Kirill Petrenko will not be conducting the concerts scheduled from 29 to 31 January 2025 due to health reasons. In their statement, the orchestra expressed deep regret for the cancellation and thanked conductor Dima Slobodeniouk for agreeing to take over at short notice.

The programme remains unchanged, featuring Edward Elgar’s Violin Concerto with Frank Peter Zimmermann as soloist and Jean Sibelius’ Lemminkäinen Suite. All performances will proceed as planned at the Philharmonie Berlin.
