Hello, I’m Damián Autorino, and today is a very special day, because Moto Perpetuo is turning one year old.
I wanted to use this moment to share a personal message, and to properly introduce myself as the editor behind a project I care deeply about.
You may have read Moto Perpetuo, followed us on social media, or subscribed to the newsletter.
But until now, you’ve mostly seen a logo and a website.
So I thought this was a good opportunity to put a face behind the project.
We created Moto Perpetuo because we felt there was a need for a truly international classical-music news site.
From the very beginning, we decided to focus mainly on international news. But of course, as you may know, we also publish album, video, and streaming recommendations, and we have a section dedicated to young talents.
One thing that really defines Moto Perpetuo is independence.
Everything we publish is there because we believe it’s relevant.
There is no hidden advertising, no paid promotion, and no external agenda behind our editorial decisions. And we would like to keep it that way.
Building Moto Perpetuo during this first year has been a huge amount of work.
But this is just the beginning — a foundation we want to keep developing.
For now, the best way you all can support us is very simple:
by following us on social media, liking our posts, reading and recommending the site, and especially by subscribing to our weekly newsletter.
It goes out every Thursday, and it’s something we put a lot of work into every single week.
Looking ahead, we have many ideas for the future: new formats, more video content, and interviews.
At some point, we’ll also need to think about how to make this project economically sustainable.
But for now, the focus remains on the work itself.
If you have ideas or suggestions — about the content, or about how to make it sustainable — we’d love to hear them.
Thank you for reading, for following, and for being part of this first year of Moto Perpetuo.
