The NDR Radiophilharmonie and principal guest conductor Jörg Widmann present an all-Mozart concert live from Hannover. The programme features four works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, offering a range of styles and moods from opera to symphony.
The concert begins with the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro and continues with the Violin Concerto No. 5, performed by Alina Pogostkina. Also known as the “Turkish” concerto.
The second half of the programme includes the Adagio and Fugue in C minor, a work marked by its dramatic contrasts, and concludes with Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, a frequently performed late symphony known for its expressive intensity and clarity of form.
