Violinist Hilary Hahn has announced that she will cancel all her scheduled performances through November 2025 due to health reasons.
In a message shared with her fans, Hahn explained that although she believed she had recovered from her previous injury, she now needs to undergo more aggressive treatment. “I have a great support team in place: they are optimistic and the prognosis is good. I have a lot more left to say on the violin and I’m not giving up!” she wrote, thanking her audience for their support.
Hahn’s health has been affected by a double nerve compression, which forced her to interrupt her career starting in July 2024. After a period of rest and treatment, she returned to the stage in February 2025 with the New York Philharmonic. However, she withdrew from concerts until November 2024 and now faces a new suspension until November 2025.
