Pianist Boris Giltburg continues his acclaimed exploration of Beethoven’s piano sonatas in a free live-streamed recital from Wigmore Hall.
The programme opens with the graceful Sonata in G major, Op. 14 No. 2, followed by the more dramatic Sonata in D major, Op. 10 No. 3. After the interval, Giltburg presents three compact but emotionally rich works: the Sonata in G minor, Op. 49 No. 1, the lively Sonata in G major, Op. 79, and the profound Sonata in E major, Op. 109, one of Beethoven’s final contributions to the genre.
The performance is free to watch on YouTube and wigmore-hall.org.uk, and will remain available afterward in the hall’s online archive.
