Captured during the opening night of Rusalka at the Gran Teatre del Liceu (22 June 2025), this video features soprano Asmik Grigorian in one of Dvořák’s most haunting arias: the beloved “Song to the Moon.” Grigorian brings depth and vulnerability to the role of Rusalka, the water nymph yearning for human love.
The production, directed by Christof Loy, is a joint venture between the Liceu, Teatro Real, Staatsoper Dresden, and Palau de les Arts. The cast also includes Piotr Beczała as the Prince and Karita Mattila as the Foreign Princess, with Josep Pons conducting the Liceu forces. The full run continues in Barcelona through 7 July.
